Inconsistency with daily journal and list settings

I'd like to have the option of having a "Photo Journal" one day but not the other. It seemed to worked once last week, but not today: When I created a Photo Journal for yesterday, a blank one appears on today's layout and each day afterwards. And when I delete the one for today, the one form yesterday (which is the only entry I wish to keep) disappears as well.

I also tried to just leave it alone, but when I moved to browse another day and went back to Thursday's page, the Photo Journal "block" disappeared entirely.

The Prompt edit settings doesn't have many options to work with. I believe this kind of journaling method (having every day contain slightly different lists/journals) should be quite basic. Could you please help check if there's a bug to be fixed? Thank you.
