Selection/Hoover tool not working

On the Iphone app, the touch command to select words or hoover over text is not working. This is key for editing my journal entries or saving text to my clipboard. I’m not sure if this applies to desktop but this is a big inconvenience for mobile users. I have the latest app version and have uninstalled & reinstalled the app.
